Welcome To The Site Of Jewish Israeli Artist Ednah Sarah Schwartz From Kibbutz Kfar Blum
Thank you for taking the time to view my art. Art, for me is a way of life. Painting is not my job, it is not my profession, and I have never earned enough money to live off my art. I just about manage to cover the cost of materials, at least that. Regardless, I thank the universe and I am so grateful for what it has provided me! Art is my way of life and it does not start or stop at any specific point in time.
Art is always with me, it is alive, it is rooted in my DNA, and thus is an integral part of my total being. On my Website you will encounter my various styles, techniques, and the different materials that I use in my artwork. I love to experiment, to play, and to have fun with my art, which I enjoy sharing with all of you. In some of my artwork you can easily see my deep passion for the topic which I am dealing with. I want you, my viewer, to know what I think and how I feel.
Some of my subject matter is unpopular or controversial. I do not belong to any political group or faction. In national elections I vote according to what I think is best for the country at that time. Furthermore, in order to have a true exchange of ideas, I believe we all need to keep an open mind and be ready to listen.
I am always happy to hear from you so please feel free to contact me with questions, thoughts, feelings or just to say hi.
Artist Acknowledgements by Ednah:
I want to thank Omri for creating my website. Since I know it was time consuming and a great deal of work. Furthermore, I realize that I am not always very patient or compliant. My son Omri did this for me after a full day at his job. Omri’s diligence and belief in me and my work made this website a reality. The fruition of this remarkable site was an unexpected surprise and a token of my son’s labor of love which I do not take for granted.
Many of the annotations were written by my daughter Raz and some I wrote myself. Raz always asked me regarding the specific work she was writing about however she consistently seemed to know my innermost thoughts and feelings before I actually shared them with her. Whatever I wrote was checked and edited by Raz and I wholeheartedly thank and credit her for that.
In closing I would like to recognize Hamutal, my second daughter who helped me with technical support.
Thank You is a mundane word; however I know that my children feel my love and gratitude.
